Welcome to My Story by Muel
Hi, I’m Muel.
Since this is my first blog post, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and share the philosophy behind my work as a tattoo artist.
For me, tattooing is more than just art. It’s a way to capture life stories, preserve emotions, and create lasting traces that hold meaning. I see tattoos as deeply personal records, much like keeping a journal, a visual archive of memory, direction, and intention.
🌿 My Journey
I’ve walked many different paths and taken on various roles throughout my life. Each chapter was filled with choices, some difficult, some uncertain, but each decision led me closer to finding a life that felt true.
One day, I remembered the child I once was, endlessly curious about the world. I started following that curiosity again, and among all things I tried, drawing was what made me feel most alive.
With no formal training, I searched for a practical way to live through art. That path led me to tattooing, and I’ve never looked back.
🎨 My Philosophy
Every tattoo I create is custom made. I prioritize deeply understanding my clients’ values, beliefs, and stories. My work is rooted in emotional authenticity and guided by technical precision.
I believe a true “record” is created when emotion and logic are in harmony, where art and story become one.
🛠 My Experience
I began my journey as a tattoo artist in Seoul and have spent the last eight years honing my craft. I explored various styles in my early years, and those explorations became the foundation of the artist I am today.
Though my main styles are microrealism and fine line, I never confine myself to one visual language. If someone wants to express their life in a different way, I’m always willing to explore that language with them. I call this process The Aesthetics of Trace.
💭 Beyond Tattooing
My interests go beyond tattoos. I’m drawn to music, sculpture, science, and philosophy, any form of creation that reflects sincerity.
At one point, I even crafted stone stamps. This urge to create feels like a rhythm passed down through generations, an instinct to leave a mark.
More recently, I’ve been drawn to music. It feels like the most direct way to express raw emotion. I value genuine, unembellished communication, and that’s where all my work begins: from a place of sincerity.
💬 Final Thoughts
I want to live life not by how others see me, but by how I see myself. Living with confidence means building a life grounded in personal values.
Before I end, I want to share this:
Every moment you live has meaning.Even if you're just one step closer to your dream life, that’s enough. As you are, in this moment, you are already complete.
Thank you for reading to the end. I hope my philosophy resonates with you in some way. I look forward to sharing more stories, through ink, through feeling, and through traces that last.
Welcome again, and I hope to see you around.
