Tattoo Aftercare Guide
Proper aftercare is essential for ensuring the longevity and healing of your tattoo.
Follow these guidelines carefully to promote a smooth recovery.

Day 1 – Immediate Care
After your tattoo session, a second skin will be applied to protect the area.
This transparent adhesive film helps shield your tattoo from bacteria and reduces friction from clothing.
✅ How to Manage the Second Skin:
-
Keep it on for at least 24 hours.
-
If your skin feels comfortable, you may leave it on for up to 3–5 days, depending on your skin type and healing process. -
-
It is normal for ink and plasma to collect underneath the film.
-
-
If you feel strong irritation, itching, burning, or notice an allergic reaction, remove it immediately and gently clean the area.
-
✅ How to Remove the Second Skin:
Gently remove it under lukewarm water to loosen the adhesive.
Wash the tattooed area with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.
Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free tattoo aftercare balm or moisturizer.
2. Healing Process
Your tattoo will go through several healing stages.
Understanding these changes will help you take proper care of your skin.
✅ Healing Timeline:
-
Days 1–3
Slight redness, swelling, and tenderness are normal.
-
Days 3–7
Light scabbing may occur. Do not pick, scratch, or peel the skin.
-
Week 1–2
The tattoo may feel dry and start peeling, similar to a sunburn.
-
Week 3–4
The outer layer of skin will usually be healed, and the tattoo will begin to settle into the skin.

3. Aftercare Tips & Warnings
To support the best healing result, please avoid the following.
🚫 What to Avoid:
Avoid direct sun exposure, as it can fade your tattoo.
Once healed, apply sunscreen when exposing the tattoo to the sun.
Avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, and soaking baths for at least two weeks.
Avoid intense workouts and excessive sweating during the first few days.
Do not scratch, pick, or peel any flaking skin.
Avoid applying too much moisturizer. A thin layer is enough.
What to Do
Keep your tattoo lightly moisturized with a fragrance-free lotion or tattoo aftercare balm.
Wear loose clothing over the tattooed area to prevent irritation.
Stay hydrated and take care of your body during the healing process.
Keep the tattoo clean, but do not over-wash it.
